Protected Nature Reserve
The Peninsula On The Indian River Bay is home to a 225-acre protected nature reserve, where the wildlife of Delmarva Peninsula is free to live in peace along the Lingo Creek. The Peninsula’s Jack Nicklaus golf course was built with the nature reserve in mind. The Peninsula’s nature center offers insight as to what community members and visitors may see along the boardwalks, such as the majestic bald eagle, in the learning and nature laboratory, on the permanent nature displays, and through hosted educational seminars. The nature center also offers a variety of outdoor activities such as winding nature trails, fishing piers, and kayak and canoeing. Explore all that the Peninsula has to offer, naturally.
